This Seat is Saved
 Everyone
arose a bit later this morning. It happens each day. The morning
routine gets more and more compressed. Primping is a little less prominent
as minutes saved are traded for sleep. As we waited for the first session
to start we were serenaded by a bagpiper. Cool!
 The
morning keynote was wonderful again. A combination of personal testimony, drama,
video and reflection. Then it was off to small group for the morning
session. The small groups are going well. Each participant is
assigned a different group, so no one from back home is in the same small group
(usually).
Another great lunch at
the Assembly Inn... BBQ or fish (or both!). The salads and fresh fruit
have wonderful and the desserts have been great, too.
The afternoon recreation was a "Soul Expression" that will be
continued tonight. It includes a variety of activities like a
"meditation labyrinth" and an Icons and Art station.
We look forward to tonight's worship. The
evening worship was good... the message was a bit heavier. We all had to
think carefully about what was said. Herb (the preacher) has given us a
lot to "chew" back home.
 Most
of our group opted to hang out at the house after worship. Conversations
around the jigsaw puzzle or over a snack in the kitchen were the standard.
A few ventured on to the concert (we are probably going to have a
"private" concert Thursday) and the other recereational "soul
expressions" but most stayed at the house for some quality "back
home" time.
We look forward to tomorrow's schedule... it's the FREE
AFTERNOON! |
