"Healing Hands"
  We
explored the realities of brokenness and the possibilities of healing today as
we looked at the story of Jesus' healing a blind man. The small groups
continue to deepen in their impact. Reports are increasingly positive
about the experiences.
Speaking of experiences, the culinary experience at the Glen Rock is much
better than last year (they had some staff problems). Unfortunately, the
inn has been sold to the Montreat Retreat Association, so the future of our
meals at youth conference is in question!
  We
enjoyed a free afternoon today! The Asheville Mall was the destination of
choice with the nearby Beaucatcher Cinemas claiming a few visitors. After
our mall "fix" we returned to enjoy a special worship service that
featured wonderful liturgical dance, selections by the Conference Choir and an
anointing service for healing. It was both meaningful and unique.
